On behalf of the New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute, we would like to take a moment to thank you for your support in agreeing to donate work to our Art for Analysis Auction Benefit, part of NYPSI’s celebration of its 100th anniversary. The proceeds from the sale of your work will go toward helping NYPSI provide psychotherapeutic services to children and families in need, toward funding outreach programs to advocate for psychodynamic psychotherapy, and toward expanding our clinical services.

The Art for Analysis Auction Benefit will be attended both by the invited public as well as some of the world’s leading psychoanalysts, including not only those affiliated with NYPSI but others from psychoanalytic institutes in and outside of New York City. The Auction is tentatively scheduled to take place in 2012 at the Austrian Cultural Forum. When a date and a location are finalized, we will notify you.

On this website you will find a form for the submission of the work(s) you are donating. As is indicated on the form, you are agreeing to loan the work(s) to us for public display and sale at auction. You are also agreeing to permit NYPSI to sell reproductions of your work(s); in this case, you will receive one-half of any proceeds from these sales, while the other half will be used for the aforementioned applications. Permission to use your work(s) for the purpose of advertising the Art for Analysis Auction Benefit is assumed with your donation unless you explicitly inform us otherwise.

To that end, if you would like assistance in choosing work(s) to donate, we would be happy to help. Please contact us and let us know, and we will schedule a studio visit with you to determine what work(s) would be most viable for the auction.
